Single-arm kettlebell floor press with knees bent, feet planted and working elbow lowered; working chest, triceps and front shoulder highlighted coral.
Working chest, triceps & front shoulder

Press one kettlebell while lying on the floor. The floor limits the lowering range while your chest and arm move the bell.

How to do it

  1. Roll into position

Lie beside the bell on your side. Grip the handle and support it with your other hand as you roll onto your back, elbow close.

  2. Set your base

Bend your knees and plant both feet. Keep your wrist straight, forearm upright and upper arm comfortably near your ribs.

  3. Press above your shoulder

Extend the working arm smoothly, keeping your shoulder supported and the bell balanced over your elbow.

  4. Lower and finish carefully

Lower until your upper arm gently meets the floor. After the set, use both hands and roll toward the bell to place it down.

Keep in mind

  • Choose a weight you can control throughout the setup.

Watch out for

  • Bouncing your elbow off the floor.
  • Letting your wrist bend back or the bell drift sideways.
