Obliques

Use a small, controlled torso rotation with a light bell close to your body. This seated version keeps both feet planted throughout.

How to do it

  1. Plant your feet

Sit with knees bent and both feet flat. Hold a light bell by the horns close to your chest.

  2. Find a steady lean

Lean back slightly from your hips, keeping your spine long and chest comfortably tall. Brace your middle.

  3. Turn together

Rotate your rib cage and bell a small distance to one side. Keep your hips steady and avoid reaching the weight toward the floor.

  4. Return and alternate

Move smoothly through center to the other side. Keep both feet grounded and stop the set if your back position changes.

Keep in mind

  • Start without a bell until the movement stays controlled.
  • Keep the weight close and the rotation comfortable.

Watch out for

  • Swinging only your arms or using momentum.
  • Rounding your lower back or lifting your feet.
